Training paddle on the Macclesfield canal. Clarke Lane <> Higher Poynton Marina.
61 minutes out, on schedule for 63 return, but stopped for a chat at the Macc CC base.
Nice that there wasn't much wind and my boat didn't ice up!

Macclesfield Canal - 1st February 2009

Clarke Lane to Higher Poynton marina and back. 63 minutes out, 63 minutes return.
Variable, gusty, cold wind coming mainly from the E. I thought it was pretty cold, and this was confirmed when I took the boat out the water - the rear deck had a coating of ice on it!

Paddled with the GPS and my speed seemed to vary between 4.0 and 5.3 mph.
